Introducing the Articles Feature!
I’m excited to announce that MKWLeaderboards now features articles as one of its core features. Below, we will talk about some of the exciting posts to expect here that are coming soon!
I have wanted to make this feature for a while, so getting it done finally was a nice relief. MKWLeaderboards users with the Editor role can write and manage articles, so if you are interested in potentially becoming an editor for the site, message me on Discord. However, it is important to note that for the foreseeable future, I plan on writing all of the articles myself, but I do eventually want to open it to more people. I want to establish a baseline quality of work for all of the types of articles we will be publishing here before adding new people to the team.
What Kinds of Articles Will There Be?
There are three main types of articles that will be published here.
- Player Spotlights
- These will be interviews with some of the most recognizable players, giving them a chance to share their story with the community, inspire others, and highlight their personality. I already have some interviews lined up that you definitely will not want to miss… 👀
- Feature Announcements
- These articles will essentially be like what you are reading right now. In fact, this is the first Feature Announcement article. Essentially, they will serve as a way to spread the word about new MKWLeaderboards features and what they do.
- Community News Updates
- These will be Player’s Page inspired news updates that will cover notable movement in the time trial scene. These will be likely the least frequent, and I don’t expect the first one for a while. I am excited for when the first one does go out, though.
How Will I Know When a New Article is Published?
All published articles will be announced on the MKWLeaderboards Twitter account, as well as announced in the Discord. You can check the articles list on the Blog Page for a list of the most recent articles.
Total Times Are Now on Your Profile!
Another part of this update, which is part of a larger total time and player rankings feature coming soon, is total time being displayed on your profile.
